The honest answer is: occasionally, yes. But we're not a walk-in studio — and there's a reason for that.
Thundercat is appointment-led. Most of our artists are booked out weeks ahead. The work you see in our portfolio doesn't happen by accident — it's the result of consultations, reference gathering, design time, and a session planned properly from the start.
That said, cancellations happen. Artists sometimes have unexpected gaps. And on those days, there can be space.
When we have space
It's not predictable, and we won't pretend otherwise. We don't maintain a walk-in rota or advertise last-minute slots publicly — it's genuinely just when the calendar opens up.
The best thing you can do is call us directly on the day. Not DM, not email — call. If there's space, we'll tell you. If there isn't, we'll tell you that too. Simple.
Call us on the day: 07988 492119. If we have space, we'll let you know then and there. We won't be able to confirm availability by DM or in advance — it genuinely depends on what the day looks like.

Walk-In Info Page →What works for a walk-in
Not every idea is suited to a same-day booking, and being honest about that saves everyone time.
Walk-in slots tend to work for:
- Flash designs — existing artwork that doesn't require a bespoke brief
- Smaller pieces with a clear reference already in hand
- Touch-ups to existing work
- Something you've genuinely thought through and can describe clearly
They're not great for:
- Anything requiring design time — custom pieces, sleeves, large formats
- Cover-ups, where planning is everything
- Work where you need to see the design before committing
- Anything you'd describe as "I'll figure out the details when I arrive"
We'd rather say no to a walk-in and do the piece properly than squeeze something in and not do it justice.
If you want something specific
A walk-in is a gamble on availability. If you have something particular in mind — a style, a placement, an artist you want — a consultation is a far better use of your time.
It's free. It takes five minutes to apply. And it means when you sit in the chair, everything is already sorted: the design, the artist, the timing. No compromises made because you were working with whatever the day allowed.
Want to actually plan it properly?
Five questions. Two minutes. We'll come back to you personally with artist options, a quote, and a clear picture of what to expect.

We're at the Lace Market in Nottingham. If you want to try your luck on a walk-in, call us on the morning you're thinking of coming in. We'll be straight with you about whether it's possible.
If you want something done right — planned, designed, executed properly — a consultation is where that starts. And it won't cost you anything to find out if we're the right fit.
